A cutthroat trout’s journey from egg to catchable fish is remarkable. And, it’s a journey that’s changed substantially in recent decades. There are four subspecies of cutthroat trout in Utah. Thanks to hard work and the help of our committed conservation partners, they are all thriving. Here’s a tribute to Utah’s native cutthroat trout shared by the UTAH DWR and put together by the Utah Wildlife Migration Initiative and Trout Unlimited.
